We understand how important good quality, dependable, flexible and affordable childcare is.
Community Kids Club is based at Hedworthfield Community Association, Jarrow NE32 4QD,
we collect children from a no. of schools in the area.
We know that children enjoy being with other children and thrive in their company. So we offer a range of services for children and offer the ideal childcare solution for working parents and carers.
We are registered with Ofsted, all staff are DBS’s and have a First Aid certificate.
What We Believe

direction and motivation and are well rewarded.

Skills & Training
All our staff team have recognised childcare and/or teaching qualifications, or are working towards are qualified first aiders and receive regular top up training on a variety of topics.
Most importantly they are committed childcare professionals who love being with children!

Our daughter has attended this setting since she began reception, and as she now reaches the end of her primary school journey, we can confidently say that the care, support, and enrichment she has received throughout these years has been exceptional. The leaders and directors consistently demonstrate that the children’s best interests are at the heart of everything they do.
The team provides a varied and engaging curriculum, offering exciting holiday activities that our daughter has always looked forward to. Their commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment is evident in the way they know each child as an individual and support them to grow in confidence, independence, and enjoyment.
We have always found communication to be clear, professional, and proactive, and the staff’s genuine enthusiasm for their work shines through daily. As parents, we have felt reassured and grateful for the high standard of care provided.

CKC have provided a great after-school service for throughout the year, my daughter has a good bond with the staff and enjoys her time there after school and in the school holidays. I am grateful for the service.
Some improvements, (if this is not already being done) can include more seasonal fruit and healthy snacks options and activities that include sports or physical challenges.

Community Kids Club has been a real lifesaver for our family. When our local kids club closed down, CKC stepped up and offered to collect our daughter from school to take her to club, which meant my husband and I could continue to work full time. They take safety seriously and the few times we’ve raised an issue or asked about practices they have responded quickly and thoroughly, putting safety at the forefront and constantly improving practices where they can. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and our daughter loves spending time at club. There is plenty to do to keep the kids occupied, both educational and fun activities, and they provide lots of snacks for the kids to keep their energy up until they get home. I would highly recommend this kids club, and our daughter says it’s “amazing”.
